We are very lucky (and perhaps unique) to have our own in-house chocolatier. Maleys Chocolates was established by Michael aka Mr Choc in Falkirk back in 2013.
We have a mini shop in our breakfast room at Scooniehill where you can purchase gifts or something to enjoy on your journey or to take home to loved ones as gifts (we even have special 'A gift from St Andrews' stickers).
We provide complimentary fresh chocolates in our rooms for when you arrive, but if you would like to order a larger box of chocolates or a specially themed gift such as a bouquet or personalised chocolate bar to impress your travelling companions, just get in touch and we can organise that for you 😊.

Chocolate Making Experiences at Scooniehill - open to residents and non-residents!
You also have the opportunity to take part in a chocolate making class while staying with us or visiting the area! Learn a little bit about the history of chocolate from Mike along with making your own delicious chocolates! Choose from the following:
A 2 hour chocolate making class where you can each make and takeaway a box of 24 (4 different flavours) £35 each, min 2 people, includes tasters and refreshments.
A 3.5 hour more in depth class covering all aspects of chocolate making including the decoration of professional moulds using coloured cocoa butters, chocolate tempering and moulding to create shells which are then filled with ganaches, caramels and praline based fillings whilst discovering about the history of chocolate. Approx 45 - 50 delicious chocolates to take away. Refreshments and tasters provided. £65 per participant.
A family orientated chocolate making experience that we can tailor to your own needs/ages. £60, minimum 3 participants, £15 each additional person. Includes tasters and refreshments. Approximately 1 hour in length.
